Great value for money!
The boat tour was amazing, especially the view of the Eiffel Tower, which was the most important part for me. I got to see it from a new angle. The cruise is a good deal because you get to see many monuments, and you can learn a lot from the audio guide. Besides sightseeing, it was also great to enjoy the breeze on the river and to look out onto the streets of Paris. Highly recommended!

THE EIFFEL TOWER IS CLOSE TO THE RIVERBANK
The Seine boat tour will pass by the Eiffel Tower, designed by Gustave Eiffel, who was a bridge engineer. It was built for the International Exposition of 1889 to celebrate 100 years since the French Revolution. An interesting fact is that after the event was over, Eiffel tried to find ways to make the building profitable in order to protect it. A meteorological station was added, as well as a military telegraph station and a laboratory for the study of aerodynamics.
SPOT THE LOUVRE MUSEUM
You will also see the famous Louvre, the national museum and art gallery of France, and the most visited museum in the world. Of course, it houses da Vinci's Mona Lisa, "The Code of Hammurabi," and the French crown jewels. The Louvre occupies a palace, home to French royals until 1682 when Louis XIV moved the court to Versailles. It was in the 18th century that the idea of turning the building into a public museum emerged.
ADMIRE NOTRE DAME
The majestic Notre-Dame de Paris is located on the Île de la Cité, one of two natural islands on the Seine in Paris. The other one is the Île Saint-Louis. The cathedral is famous for its Gothic architecture. Two churches were located here, and Notre Dame was built on their ruins. Before that, there was a Gallo-Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter. The Conciergerie is nearby. It was a royal palace and the prison of Marie-Antoinette. The Orsay Museum can also be seen. It is the national museum of fine and applied arts. The building used to be a railway station and hotel called Gare d'Orsay.
HEAR STORIES ABOUT PARIS FROM THE AUDIO GUIDE
Our helpful audio guide is packed with information about the monuments and stories from Paris's long history. For example, did you know that the Eiffel Tower was supposed to be demolished in 1909? It was used for radio transmission, though, which is why the idea wasn't realized. Our audio guide includes many more facts about the monuments and life in the city!

Interesting facts about the sights along the Seine River
- The address numbers on the streets around the Seine River are tied to it. Building numbers on the streets parallel to the river go up in the direction of the current. Perpendicular streets start their numbering closest to the river.
- The Eiffel Tower was supposed to be a part of the city skyline for only 20 years!
- You will pass under the Pont de la Concorde, one of the bridges on the river. It took 15 years to begin its construction because conservative officials thought its design was too out there.
- The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid attraction in the world, with around seven million visitors each year! There are even multiple restaurants and a museum in the tower. A visit to the tower is a must, so you can easily plan to see both the Eiffel Tower and Seine River Cruise together for a full Paris experience from above and along the water.
