Relaxing tour of Paris
My family and I had a great time on the cruise! It was really relaxing. We saw the beautiful streets and landmarks of Paris, like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. We took a lot of photos and spent some quality time together! Our host was friendly and answered all our questions.
Beautiful sunset experience!
My husband and I went on this tour in the evening, and it was an amazing experience! We got to see the city at sunset, illuminated by street lights. I loved seeing the Eiffel Tower with its lights turned on. The captain was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. I would recommend this cruise to anyone looking to see Paris in an intimate setting!

PARIS'S FAMOUS RIVER
Paris has been one of the most important cities in the world for centuries. It is famous for its culture and entertainment, as well as opportunities for studying and business. You can find something for every one of your senses here: great food, paintings, literature, and so much more. The Seine is one of the great historic rivers of Europe, and many of the most famous landmarks of Paris are located along its banks.
SEE THE EIFFEL TOWER
The Private Seine River Cruise will pass by the Eiffel Tower. It is usually photographed from the ground or high vantage points, but you will have the opportunity to take photos from below the street level and see the iconic landmark from an angle not usually seen. Designed and built by Gustave Eiffel, the structure was erected for the International Exposition of 1889 to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution.
PASS BY THE NOTRE DAME & THE LOUVRE
You can see Notre Dame de Paris, the most famous Gothic cathedral of the Middle Ages. Its foundation stone was laid by Pope Alexander III in 1163. Spot the Louvre, the most-visited art museum in the world, with one of the best collections of paintings. European art up to the Revolutions of 1848 is housed here, and artworks painted after that can now be found in the Orsay Museum, which you will also see during your boat ride.
YOU WILL SEE THE… STATUE OF LIBERTY?
Did you know there is a Statue of Liberty in Paris, too? A four-times smaller replica was raised on an artificial island on the river in Paris about three years after the one in New York. It is actually one of the versions made during the preparations for the construction of the bigger Statue of Liberty. There is one in the Orsay Museum, and one in the Musée des Arts et Métiers, too.
PARIS ALSO HAS… SANDY BEACHES?
The Paris Plages are artificial beaches located near the Notre Dame Cathedral. Every summer, the street is closed to traffic for two months so that people can relax on sand or lounge chairs under the shade of palm trees and umbrellas.

The beginnings of Paris
The banks of the Seine have been inhabited for thousands of years, and the city of Paris started off as a settlement on an island on the river and grew from there. The Seine was called Sequana, and the first known name of Paris was Lutetia, which means "Midwater-Dwelling" in Latin. It is the second-longest river in France and connects Paris to the sea and the maritime port of Le Havre.
