I feel like we literally saw all of Paris!
The sights from the top of the Eiffel Tower were amazing; I could see so many different buildings! For example, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, Notre Dame, and more. And then later, when we went on the river cruise, I saw some of the same sights - just this time up-close, which was just as beautiful. The audio guide on the cruise was great, I learned a lot.
Beautiful views & great flexibility
The views from the Eiffel Tower were beautiful, as expected. The tour staff was lovely, and thankfully, the ticket includes access to the elevator, so we didn't have to climb up. We planned to do the Eiffel Tower cruise right after, but we were too tired. In the end, we took the cruise two days later! I loved this flexibility - it was nice not having to rush. The cruise was really chill. The atmosphere was good, and Paris looked great from the river!

Did you know that the Eiffel Tower was supposed to be demolished?
The Eiffel Tower was built solely to flaunt France’s industrial prowess. Once its permit expired, it was supposed to be dismantled. However, to preserve the structure, a radio antenna was installed - and it did the job! The city government saw the value in a radio transmission tower and allowed the building to stay.
